Maps Introduction

The GeorgiaInfo map collection is broken down into five different sections. There is a set of county highway maps from 1995; while these maps may be somewhat dated, they do show a lot of detail, including many place names - these maps have been particularly helpful for those doing genealogical research. Next is a set of Georgia highway maps, from as far back as 1929 to the present. The largest section is the historical maps, which includes maps of what is now Georgia from its earliest times up until modern times. The physical maps show Georgia’s different geographic districts. Finally, the set of political maps show how the state is divided by various political units. You can also see maps listed by county in the Historical Atlas of Georgia Counties.
