The following ad appeared in Savannah’s Georgia Gazette:
“A PARCEL of likely young NEW NEGROES, just imported in the schooner Pope’s Head Capt. Adams, from Antigua, to be sold on Wednesday next in the forenoon, at the Watchhouse.”
