News of Oglethorpe Return Received
“…A little after Noon a Boat arrived from Frederica, wherein came Mr. Thomas Jones, by whom we were informed, that the General, with the Blanford Man of War and five Transports, arrived safe and well at St. Simon’s on Monday was Se’nnight the i8th Instant, all in good Health: So long was this good News in finding its Way to us. …”
