Editorials Remained Defiant, Despite Dire Military Situation

Despite the dire military and economic situations, the Confederate Union of Milledgeville still remained defiant, boldly claiming the South was not “whipped.”

The Southern Recorder of Milledgeville expressed similar sentiments, harkening back to the tribulations suffered by patriots during the Revolutionary War.
