Money Appropriated for School for Deaf and Dumb

The Georgia Senate agreed to a report of its Committee on Public Education and Free Schools recommending the appropriation of $10,000 on the condition that two or more neighboring states agree to contribute proportionately “for the purpose of endowing a Southern Institution for the education of the deaf and dumb.”
