1824 Election to House

The 1824 U.S. presidential election - in which Georgian William H. Crawford was a major contender, along with John Quincy Adams, Andrew Jackson, and Henry Clay - was turned over to the U.S. House of Representatives after no candidate received a majority of the electoral vote. Adams was eventually declared the winner.
