Brown Addressed General Assembly

On the day following the election of Abraham Lincoln as president, Gov. Joseph E. Brown addressed a joint session of the Georgia General Assembly. In his speech, Brown called for statewide convention to consider Georgia’s future course of action - a future which, in Brown’s words, included “no more compromise.”
