Hurricane Matthew Struck Georgia

Hurricane Matthew, after devastating Haiti and Cuba, traveled up the southeastern coast of the United States, striking Georgia in the early morning hours of October 8. There was considerable damage from wind, storm surge (the storm struck the Savanna/Tybee Island area at high tide), and falling trees. many people were left without power and water for days after the storm.
