Oglethorpe Suddenly Sick

Suffering from a sudden illness or medical condition, Georgia founder James Edward Oglethorpe lay weak and bedridden at Cranham Hall, his Essex estate east of London. Whether due to disease or advanced age, the frail general had entered the final days of his last battle.
