DeForest Kelley Died

After an extended illness, Atlanta-born actor DeForest Kelley died at age 79 in Los Angeles, Calif. He was best known for his role as Dr. Leonard “Bones” McCoy on the “Star Trek” television series and movie sequels. See Jan. 20 entry for more biographical information on Kelley.
