Final Acts of the Georgia Trustees

In London, Georgia’s Trustees made their last grant of land, paid their final bills, signed a deed surrendering Georgia to the Crown, and defaced their seal - thus ending Georgia’s two decades as a trustee colony. For the remainder of its colonial status, Georgia would now exist as a royal colony operated by the British government.
