Jackie Robinson First African-American to Play Major League Baseball

Jackie Robinson became the first African-American to play major league baseball. In the game, he went hitless as his Brooklyn Dodgers took on the Boston Braves. Nevertheless, Robinson got on base due to a Braves’ error and scored the winning run in a 5-3 Dodger win.
