Parliament Funded Georgia

Britain’s Parliament funded the entire £25,800 requested by the Trustees for support of Georgia for the coming year – even including an additional £200. This was a personal victory for James Oglethorpe, who had returned in England in 1734 to personally lobby for government funding for Georgia.
