President Obama Visited Savannah

President Barack Obama visited Savannah to unveil plans to offer tax breaks for people who upgrade their homes to save energy. He landed at Hunter Army Airfield in Air Force One, and was greeted by Georgia governor Sonny Perdue and Savannah mayor Otis Johnson. He spoke at Savannah Technical College and dined at Mrs. Wilkes before headeing back to Washington, D.C. According to news sources, it was at least the eighteenth time that a sitting president has visited Savannah - the first being George Washington, who came for a four-day stay in 1791.
