Salt Reserved for War Widows and Wives
The Southern Banner of Athens reported that a shipment of hard-to-find salt had arrived, but it was reserved for soldiers’ widows and wives.
“We are requested to announce that the salt for soldier’s widows and soldier’s wives in Clark county has arrived. All interested will forthwith call at the store of Messrs. Hutcheson & Hampton, and get their supplies.”
