Letter Brutally Attacked Lincoln
The Daily Intelligencer of Atlanta printed a letter to the editor which contained a brutal, and inaccurate, attack on U.S. President Abraham Lincoln. This letter is indicative of how, as happens often in war, the anger is directed at the leader of the opposing side. It accuses Lincoln of being more interested in winning another election than in winning the war, when Lincoln clearly wanted the war to be over as soon possible.
