English and French Impressed with Confederacy, but no Official Recogonition
The Confederate Union of Milledgeville reprinted a piece from a London newspaper praising the Confederates for their military prowess, but offering little hope of official recognition until the North was driven entirely from southern soil.
The Richmond Times Dispatch printed a report from a French visitor from Georgia, he seemed to think the South was holding up very well.
