Lee Gathered Army Together in Maryland Campaign

General Robert E. Lee, after the Battle of South Mountain the previous day, was concerned that his army was too divided and spread out, so he continued to gather his men together, and sent for Stonewall Jackson to join him at Sharpsburg, along a stream called Antietam Creek.
