Battle of Davis’ Cross Roads Ended; Chickamauga Campaign
The Battle of Davis’ Cross Roads, also part of the Chickamauga Campaign, concluded. It was a minor engagement, resulting in a strategic Union victory in their quest to continue maneuvering the Confederate army south. But reinforcements would soon be arriving; the maneuvering would stop, and battle would be joined.
