Letter from Washington, D.C. Published

The Southern Confederacy of Atlanta published a report from their correspondent in Washington D.C., which mentioned the Confederate prisoners in Washington, argued against the notion the war was being fought to preserve the Union, and vainly hoped that the war would be a short one.
