Letters Supporting Johnston Reprinted
The Confederate Union of Milledgeville reprinted two letters originally published in a Savannah newspaper, from a correspondent with the Confederate army in Georgia. He painted a not so rosy picture of the political in fighting going on, and seemed to be very fond of recently relieved General Joseph E. Johnston. Yet he maintained confidence that they would still drive Sherman and his Union army back to Tennessee.
