Letter Hinted Military Action Might be Near

The Southern Confederacy of Atlanta printed a letter from their correspondent in Virginia; he opened with a complaint about the lack of stationery, then went into a long account of the death of a local soldier (see full page linked for details), before closing with a brief warning (seen here) that action might be near - the first major battle of the Civil War was one week away.
