Battle of Dallas
After consecutive Confederate victories at New Hope Church and Pickett’s Mill, Union forces achieved a reversal as the fighting moved westward from Dallas, Georgia. Here, in the Battle of Dallas, Confederates suffered 3000 casualties, while the Union lost 2400. But with the Union forces greatly outnumbering the Confederates, their lost was felt more deeply.
