Confederate Sentiment Strong in Tennessee

The Southern Confederacy of Atlanta reprinted part of an editorial from a Tennessee newspaper, and added commentary on it - even though Union troops occupied Nashville and there were reports of Union sentiment growing there, plenty of Confederate loyalty was still on display as well. The item mentioned future vice-president and president Andrew Johnson, then governor of Tennessee.
