Article Blamed Bread Riot on “Ruffian” Men

The Southern Confederacy of Atlanta printed an item regarding the Richmond Bread Riot of April 2, arguing that it was spurred by “ruffian” men more so than hungry women, and that all cities needed to be on guard against such people.
