Some Still Had “War Spirit”
The Richmond Times Dispatch printed a brief item on the “war spirit in Georgia;” some still had it.
The War Spirit in Georgia. Macon, Georgia, March 7. –General Howell Cobb addressed a large and enthusiastic meeting here last night. Hon. B. H. Hill speaks to night. There is a great revolution in public feeling, and a general disposition to apply all the resources of the country to resume the prosecution of the war with vigor. It is believed that the Legislature will refuse to call a State Convention.
