Confederate Congress sent Message to U.S. Congress
The Confederate States of America, under the names of President Jefferson Davis and President of the Congress Howell Cobb, sent a message to the U.S. Congress, advising them of the three men proposed as ambassadors from the C.S.A. to the U.S.A. - one of whom was Martin J. Crawford of Georgia.
