Secession Convention Temporarily Adjourned
Georgia’s secession convention temporarily adjourned, with the instructions to convene again when called by the convention President - George W. Crawford. A considerable number of delegates to the secession convention were also set to attend the convention of seceding states in Montgomery, AL on February 4. Georgia’s secession convention would reconvene in Savannah on March 7, 1861. But before adjourning the convention approved its Causes of Secession document.
