“Georgia on My Mind

  That linger in my heart

  Make me think of Georgia

  Why did we ever part?

Some sweet day when blossoms fall

And all the world’s a song

  I’ll go back to Georgia

  “Cause that’s where I belong.

Georgia, Georgia, the whole day through

Just an old sweet song keeps Georgia on my mind.

Georgia, Georgia, a song of you

Comes as sweet and clear as moonlight through the pines.

Other arms reach out to me

  Other eyes smile tenderly

Still in peaceful dreams I see

The road leads back to you.

Georgia, Geogia, no peace I find

Just an old sweet song keeps Georgia on my mind.”

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Resolution Act Number 53, approved August 19, 1922 (Ga. Laws 1922, p. 114) and Resolution Act Number 108, approved March 25, 1958 (Ga. Laws 1958, p. 506), relative to the adoption of the song “Georgia” as the official State song, are hereby repealed in their entirety.
