Militia Duty, Seeing the Governor
Reuben King wrote in his journal of performing his militia duty and seeing the Georgia governor:
“We ware called at about 1 1 o.c. - stayed on the parrade until 2 o.c. - Governor Milledge & Majr Fosh [Fauche] came on the parade I expected the Governor would have addressed the Battalion but He did not I Dined at the Court house and returned home in the Stage”
