Letter from Correspondent Enroute to Manassas

The Southern Confederacy of Atlanta printed a report from their correspondent in Virginia, in which he mentioned that he was en route to the place where the first major battle of the Civil War would take place - Manassas. He also mentioned the movement in Virginia that would ultimately create the state of West Virginia, the many Northern spies in the Confederate capital, and again the belief that the war would be short - over by Christmas.
