Suwannee River
The Suwannee River originates in the Okefenokee Swamp in Charlton County, Georgia. I then flows southwestward, entering Florida after crossing the Echols County border. In Florida the Suwannee is joined by a tributary, which also originates in Georgia, the Alapaha River. Altogether the Suwannee River flows for approximately 265 miles before emptying into the Gulf of Mexico.
