Olympic Baseball Stamp Souvenir First Day Cover For those invited to April 3, 1992 first day of issue ceremonies for the Olympic baseball stamp, the U.S. Postal Service's provided a souvenir cover with color cachet instead of the customary program. At the conclusion of the ceremony, many of those participating in the stamp's release signed the cover. The signatures shown above (top to bottom) are former Los Angeles Dodger Steve Yeager, Dodger president Peter O'Malley, former Dodger great Maury Wills, International Baseball Association president Bob Smith, stamp artist Tony DeLuz, major league umpire Ron Luciano, and Little League International president Creighton Hale.
