Flint River

Flint River

The Flint River originates in southern Fulton County as groundwater, which runs underneath Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Airport. As more creeks join the flow, the river widens and flows southward through the Piedmont and western part of the Coastal Plain area of Georgia. It empties, along with the Chattahoochee River, into Lake Seminole just across the Georgia/Florida border. From Lake Seminole, the Apalachicola River flows southward into the Gulf of Mexico.
