| On July 7, 1914, the General Assembly
proposed a constitutional amendment to create Barrow County from
portions of Gwinnett, Jackson, and Walton counties. On Nov. 3,
1914, Georgia voters approved the constitutional amendment, which
marks the date of the Barrow County's creation. |
