Ceremonies Marking the Centennial
of the Laying of the Georgia
State Capitol Cornerstone

Gov. and Mrs. Joe Frank Harris and Atlanta mayor Andrew Young
were among those participating in the Sep. 4, 1985 ceremonies on the
grounds of the state capitol.

Also present were Atlanta historian Franklin Garrett (standing)
to tell about the original laying of the cornerstone, as well as
Secretary of State Max Cleland.
